Hi, my name is Shania and I love all things homemaking!

Heres a little bit about me...

I grew up on a farm in the midwest with my Dad, Mom and four siblings. I really can't imagine growing up anywhere else! I wasn't the rough and tough type on the farm even so I still did my far share of not so great jobs that shaped me into a better person today! I enjoyed gardening, mowing, cleaning, sewing and cooking! I remember making bread by memory at the very young age of five years.

My first memory of cloth diapers is when one day I asked my mom what the dusting rag was, she said it was a (flat) cloth diaper! ;) Who knew. I alway thought to my self that "one day I want to cloth diaper my baby."

Fast forward a few years and I started millinery (fashion hat making) at the age of thirteen. By sixteen I started my first job in town as a dietary aid in the local nursing home after a couple years I changed my position to a certified nurses assistant.

I wasn't quit sure what I was going to do as a career but after some hinting and encouragement from my mom I realize what I really enjoyed doing was staring at me about every day! That was sewing I was always trying to figure out how to make my own patterns from measurement and using up my moms "good fabric." So I took fashion design classes!

After I graduated I accepted a position in a bridal shop and became a seamstress. I enjoy it there and would even call it my dream job. I worked there three years before I married my husband.

I knew right away that I was going to use cloth diapers! So I bought 25 Charlie Banana diapers on a Labor Day sale. Our baby was born that coming January so precious. Now I'm doing what I enjoy most being a wife, mother and a homemaker! I'm so excited to share my passion for cloth diapers and everyday Homemaking skills!

Happy Cloth Diapering!
